We all share this one sky
A boundless ocean of stars around us
A web of constellations
Entwining us together
Sometimes we are those stars up high
Shining to all around us
Shimmering for generations
Moving the lightest feather
The lights pass on a heartfelt whisper
The impressions can even restore
These stars always more than a mass
But alas they may never last
Stars alike know not how to whimper
They may feint their glow but return evermore
For every star knows but one way to pass
A final hurrah, a cosmic blast
For all us stars we do not simply fade
We awe and inspire an eon, an era
Emanating beauty and lighting hope
A new path to follow, go on ahead
